Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Pallet Racking

The Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Pallet Racking System is a high-density storage solution derived from standard heavy-duty selective racking. Its structural frame (uprights and beams) remains similar to conventional racking, but it features floor-mounted guide rails installed between rack rows. Designed to work with turret trucks or tri-lateral forklifts, this system allows the forklift to travel straight, while the forks can rotate 180° to pick and place pallets on both sides without the truck turning. This narrow aisle operation reduces the required aisle width to a range of 1600mm – 1900mm, significantly improving warehouse space utilization.

Narrow-aisle high-bay racking is generally a specialized storage solution derived from heavy-duty selective racking. The rack structure is similar to standard pallet racking, requiring only the addition of floor-mounted guide rails. These rails are typically installed between rack rows using angle steel guides, or as recessed floor rails. Narrow-aisle high-bay racks generally use turret forklifts (tri-lateral forklifts) to access pallets. Forklifts do not need to turn when accessing pallets; only the forks rotate. Therefore, the reserved aisle width is generally between 1600mm and 1900mm, which is sufficient. Warehouse space utilization can reach up to 80%, and picking efficiency can be maximized. It is an ideal choice for operations pursuing FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and high storage capacity.
